A Community Screen Campaign That Gives Local Businesses a Clear Role

Plan a useful shared local message with honest sponsorship and manageable coordination.

A community campaign can introduce local services, promote a genuine event or help people discover businesses in an area. Its value comes from a useful public message and a reliable plan. Keep the organiser, sponsors and screen operator’s roles clear. Describe the campaign honestly: supporting local activity does not automatically make a commercial project a registered charity or create permission to use another organisation’s name.

Begin with a useful public purpose

Choose something the audience can understand and act on, such as discovering participating businesses or attending an agreed event. Decide who owns the campaign and handles questions. Avoid making a vague community claim that hides an ordinary sales promotion. A useful, clearly described commercial message can stand on its own merits.

Invite participants with clear terms

Explain what participation includes, who buys the media and how artwork is approved. Obtain permission for each business name, logo and offer. Do not create accounts in participants’ names or imply endorsement before they agree. Record the arrangement and a contact for corrections, changes or withdrawal under the applicable terms.

Keep sponsorship recognisable

If a sponsor funds the campaign or receives a placement, describe that role clearly. Do not present paid promotion as an independent recommendation. Keep the layout readable and avoid an overloaded collection of logos. A simple shared creative or agreed rotation can be easier for the audience to understand.

Share practical results

Provide delivery evidence and the aggregate outcomes the group agreed to review. Ask participants what happened operationally and what should improve. Protect private customer information and avoid claiming community-wide impact from a small response sample. Use the result to decide whether the format deserves another campaign.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a local organisation’s logo because the campaign helps the area?

Obtain the appropriate permission. A beneficial intention does not by itself authorise use of another organisation’s identity or imply its endorsement.

Must a shared campaign collect donations?

No. It can use an ordinary, clearly explained commercial arrangement. If contributions are requested, describe their purpose and any conditions accurately.

Put the plan into practice

Explore currently listed advertising screens, prepare an authorised screen listing, or organise your company workspace. Confirm the actual inventory, delivery and supported connections before committing to a campaign.
